This bulbous perennial has lovely bronzey green foliage consisting of long sword like leaves approximately 40 cm tall. During mid-late summer flower spikes form above the leaves, the flowers are a deep orange with a slight redness to them and last for several weeks. This bulbous plant is deciduous so will die down each autumn and them regrow the following spring. The size of the clump will increase each year as the bulbs bulk up during the summer months. Best grown in a free draining soil and a sunny location, a South facing position is ideal but so long as they get plenty of sun they will perform well. They look great with other varieties of Crocosmia and give a great contrast. They also work very well as container plants.
Hardy if grown in a free draining compost or soil. Height 75cm.
