This South African cormous perennial was planted in the garden at Penberth in the late 60's for cut flower for the house and sending away to the various flower markets across the UK. It's evergreen in most parts of the country unless severely cold. It will produce tall flower spikes up to 1.2m from late summer onward so is a later flowering Watsonia. Plant in a well drained soil in a sunny position.
