This is a great Watsonia, it has Gladiolus like flowers that open individually up the stem. It is less bloussey than Galdiolus and more refined, with the flowers varying from a delicate orange through to a soft pink colour. After it has finished flowering it will form little bulbils up the length of the stems in the position of the spent flowers. Each of the bulbils can be left to mature and then collected to pot up or plant out to produce more young plants. The strap like leaves will get up to 60cm height and spread with the flower spike will reach over 1m in height. it is best grown in a free draining sunny position.
