One of the more unusual Echium. It is one that branches naturally and will produce bright, deep blue flowers in it's second year and continue to flower each year. It is classed as a short lived plant but how long is short lived? I have had mine flower for several years so far and it is still growing strong. Height 1.5m and spread 1.2m As with all Echium they come from the Canary Islands and this species is from La Palma in open spaces amongst the Pine forest. Will look great in a tropical border or with other more common perennials. Protect from severe frosts.
