Freesia fucata

This is a lovely South African cormous perennial. It emerges from dormancy during the winter and produces narrow strappy leaves followed by a flower spike which grows above the leaves to a height of 20 cm. The flower spike has several flower buds along it's length that open individually to reveal beautiful white and yellow flowers in late winter/spring. Plant in a sunny position in a free draining soil. Hardy to minus 6c if well drained.
