A shrubby succulent from the island of Tenerife. It has a naturally branching habit with rosettes of grey-green leaves getting up to 30cm across. Each leaf has ciliate red-maroon markings which are more intense the stronger the light. In early summer a showy inflorescence of many small cream coloured flowers rise about the plant up to 60cm. Grow in a sunny position in a free draining soil. If you live where winter temperatures fall below zero Celsius then they are best container grown to allow them to be placed under cover for the winter months.
