Banksia speciosa

This Banksia has a common name of the Showy Banksia. As it's name suggests it will put on quite a show of creamy yellow flower cones throughout most of the year in Australia, it's native country. The striking silvery grey green foliage has extravagantly toothed edges and the leaves fan out in a circular pattern around the flowers. Best grown in a free draining soil in full sun or light shade. Will take a moderate frost and makes a good coastal plant. A medium to large shrub.
