Lachenalia contaminata

The common name for this adorable plant in the Cape cowslip. It is a spring flowering bulb that will become dormant during late summer only to break dormancy again during the autumn/winter. The flowers will reach to a height of approx 20cm so is an ideal candidate for pots and containers. The leaves are very narrow strap like leaves. Grows best in a well drained soil with plenty of good light.
