Hedychium gardnerianum

This is probably the ginger to have if you only grow one. Strong upright stems with the usual strappy leaves come out of the stem alternately as they grow. Creamy yellow flowers with bright orange anthers are produced towards the end of summer and emit the deepest of fragrance and is the best ginger for fragrance without doubt. Can be container grown or in the ground and performs best when grown in the ground in a sunny location and feed freely.
