Banksia gardneri var. gardneri

One of the prostrate Banksia that was previously known as B.prostrata. This Banksia has deep green leaves that are deeply lobed. The 100mm tall rusty coloured flowers appear in spring and can appear to grow straight out of the ground due to the stem growing horizontally even sometime growing just below the surface of the soil.
