Erica cerinthoides

One of the best South African heathers. It is an evergreen perennial that produces flowers most of the year. The clusters of flowers are a deep orange/red tubular flowers that form on stems as they mature. Height 1m spread 1.2m but it is best pruned after flowering to keep the plant compact and tidy. Plant in a free draining moisture retentive acidic soil, a moist soil that doesn't waterlog. A sunny, light situation is ideal. Hardy to -6c
