Erica verticillata

An attractive South African heather. This is an evergreen upright shrub. The soft dark green foliage help to set off the 2cm long mauve pink flowers which are borne on the stems in tightly packed whorls intermittently throughout the year. Height 1.5m and spread 1m.

This species of Erica grows best in full or partial shade, in a moist but free draining acidic soil. Hardy to minus 6c
