Hedychium ellipticum

This ornamental ginger grows to about 1.5m with lightly ribbed leaves. An unusual flower compared to some gingers that is quite upright white flower with orange red stamen which really contrast with the dark green leaves behind. A great addition to a tropical border or makes an equally spectacular container plant. For best results plant in a sunny location in a rich, moisture retentive soil.
