Leucadendron argenteum

The Cape silver tree. A tall dense conical shaped tree. Growing to a height of 6m and a spread of 3m. Golden cones are formed on the maturing stems in late summer. Plant in well drained acidic soil in full sun. Hardy to -4c. This is a spectacular member of the Protea family and is always greatly admired when seen by the public in a garden situation. Makes a great container plant especially when you use our Protea compost especially formulated to grow any of the Protea family in pots.
