Protea laurifolia

This is one of the bearded protea with large pale pink or cream flowers. It is also one of the frost hardy and water wise Protea and can tolerate a wider range of soil types compared to most other protea. Forming an upright well branched shrub. The leaves are elliptical with a covering of minute soft hairs when young and hairless when mature but will have a blue-green bloom. Often confused with Protea nerifolia but has broader leaves which are thicker too. Best grown in full sun in a soil that is free draining or can be container grown.
