Protea lepidocarpodendron

A lovely member of the Protea family with black and cream white flowers. These peep out of the dense glaucous green foliage. An upright shrub getting between 2 to 3m tall that branches well from the main stem. The narrow oblong leaves point upward with no stem so attach directly to the stems. The flowers are up to 110mm tall and 60mm wide. Threatened with extinction in the wild due to development and also hybridisation with several other Protea.
